Dying my yak pro blue hub

O.k so i want to dye my wheel (yak pro blue hub) black and i have noticed that other people have done it too
but with some peoples the writing on the side turned purple and i dont want that to happen to me so i was
wondering is there any way to avoid it???

scratch it off so theres no writing thats what i did and it looks better after a while because it doesnt have half faded writing left over .
