Movies like that, from organizations like PETA, all show you what you wanna see, the disgusting thing that a minority of meatpackers do, sure it's fucked up, but do humans need the flesh of other animals to survive? Yes. It's the cycle of life. Is the meatpacking industry going to ever stop? No. What could stop, on the other hand, is the cruelty involved, the industry doesn't need to hire people that are going to torture the animals to put them on your plate.

i think this video is absolutly disgusting. although im really glad i watched it.

I was considering becoming vegitarian after i watched it, but than i read madis's and pete's posts and they made allot of sense and had good reasons.
we NEED meat to survive, and leather for our clothes. But the thing i dont get is how can people be so inmature and cruel to animals. Stomping on them for fun? stabbing them with axes for fun? clubbining them for fun? all kinds of things that are unneccisary. It makes me sick. And the living conditions of these places? My god. It killed me watching the pigs get their ears, teeth, and tails chopped off.

We cannot change the amount of meat we go through each year. Although we can change all the curelty and living conditions animals go through

i would really like to make a big reply to this thread and explain my thoughts on the subject, but as a general rule i try not to post/discuss serious non-scooter related things on sr. idk, if this thread goes well and doesn't get full of crap i might actually do it. but this is new sr, it will most likely turn to shit or something.

until someone comes up with a better method, this is the way it'll stay. and however disturbing this is, meat is too delicious for me to not eat it.

(plus people are not made to be vegetarians. we're omnivores, that's the way our whole digestive system is set up. eat meat.)

that is seriously terrible. i mean.. how they took the cows.. which were still living.. and they would rip their jugulars out and as they are still alive and sqirming, they would just watch the cows bleed out and die
same for the pigs. they just slit their throats. terrible. all of it.
im still gonna always eat meat.. but i think it is terrible how people can do this and still sleep at night.
