easiest way to cut down bars?

i have bars with a slit, i want to cut the slit off for scs.
i don't have a electric saw or whatever its called, just a normal handsaw or hacksaw or whatever.
i dont know if i can keep my cuts steady enough to cut it straight, and i dont have a file if i mess up...
so what shall i do.....

help me, give me ways to cut down my bars, thanks.

its not that hard. just cut it with your hacksaw. and try not to cut it all slanted

ok fine, i need methods on how to cut STRAIGHT.

Make a cutting guide. You can use paper it you want, just wrap it round the tube, make sure the paper matches up where it meets then mark it out with a pen. Use a hacksaw and follow the line

A perfectly straight cut isn't necessary, the SCS will still clamp it fine.

Pipe cutter, sawzall, angle grinder or hacksaw.

Just wrap tape around the bars. Make sure you do that half decent or you get a bad cut.

Get a really big pipe cutter, like the ones that tighten on them you twist them around your bars to cut them, I just cut down a friends cromo bike fork in under 10 mins with one...

Hacksaw with an 18 tpi (teeth per inch) works best for metal pipes.

Take your time and let the saw do the work.

Start the cut slowly so you get a good start and then apply more pressure once you have a cut in the Tubing.

The saw only cuts on the Push stroke so lighten up on the back stroke.

Steady even strokes and dab a little Motor oil on the blade.

alright that's my only option so ill try it this weekend. i have some old t bars i guess i can practice on maybe.
