Edit of the Month

Alright, so I've been thinking about this for a while. Who thinks it would be cool if we had an edit of the month contest just for the members of sr? It would be ran like the sotm contest, and no pro or am riders would be allowed to enter, since they have an obvious advantage. During the month, I would make a thread to submit any entries, and at the end of that month I would make a voting thread. Only legit edits would be qualified for voting.
Thoughts?

not necessarily all sponsored riders, but if you're pro or am you cant enter. flow and "hook-up" riders can still enter.
its just to level out the playing field, and to give a little more exposure to lesser known riders.

Nah. I plan on discussing it with the other mods, then we will report back with the news.

i think it might be more reasonable to do video of the month and photo of the month, if you watch how many photos and videos are fed into sr in a week

I feel like none of this would be the same like it was, Potw would be shitty screen grabs, Cotw like 2 entrys, if that, it just all isn't the same.

yeah its a great idea but i dont think it would work out as well. plus with school just started i doubt any edits long then 3 mins long of legit footy will come up, all the summer edits are done and we probaly wont see a legit edit drop until like christmas

I've been filming for a legit edit for a few months now. It should be out next month. Just saying, and I'm sure i'm not the only member on sr working on an edit right now.
I don't want this like cotw. The edit has to be like a legit web edit, not a 30 second video with no music.
