editing videos

what is a good editing program not to complicated never edited any of my videos

i know this is an old and stupid thread but i really need to know

Ulead video studio is crap, Its like an easy to use software. Im running on windows 98 so I'm forced to use Ulead MEDIA studio, this one's all right.

i'm running on win2k and Ulead 7 didn't work can't install win movie maker 2 too (because it only for XP). I can use the regular win movie maker, though.

i had pinnacle 8 for 3 years. its ok but adobe premiere pro is much better

Well that program is good for lazy ppl for just putting clips together and saving it as a video file, but its just hard to do something more advanced with it.

yea, movie maker 2 is fine if you want easy quick editing, and its easy to compress stuff too, go with that if you have no editing experience

I use Premiere 6.5 and Sony Vegas 5.0. Vegas is really nice, and fairly easy to use.

pete u need to reread the first post, he said he wants something easy because hes never edited before. ulead and pinnacle sound pretty good for that...
