Epiphone SG?

Yeah so, I'm thinking about getting another guitar, I don't have an amp. All I need is an electric guitar. My question is, would it be better to go out and buy this Epiphone SG, G-400, just by itself, no accessories, or a way more expensive (but still obtainable) Gibson X-Plorer? I mean, overall, which would be better in terms of quality, budget, and durability? I mean, it's either I get the SG tomorrow, or I save up some more bread and get the X-plorer. Thanks.

Alright then, I think Gibson bought Epiphone, so you could say they are the "parent company". I'll definitely wait it out then, thanks guys.

gibson owns epiphone, epiphones are made in korea, gibsons are made in the usa. gibson and epiphone are like fender with squire.
