That is called kiiking, it's a sport. Not many people do it and it was invented by Estonians in fact. I've actually been on those, those are mad radical things. It has straps for both legs and hands so you cannot fall off that. I could ride one with a bit shorter poles, but it is still pretty hard to get it around as massive G-forces are applied when you come all the way down from the top, and it's mad exhausting.
Longer poles = more G forces = harder to get it around.
