PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS! Thanks....

This is a video of a recent interview of Aaron Ross. If you don't know who he is, he is a PRO
BMXer. Throughout this video he expresses the expansion and growth of BMXing. He talks about
all the drama in BMX, the newer riders, sponsorships, and other important things.....

Although this doesn't "technically" involve scootering, it relates to the sport so much. In time
some riders will have sponsorships from shoes companies, clothing companies, and our very own
scootering companies. More and more companies will be involved in making more parts and open up
other venues. As a rider myself I would like to think scootering will be the next of the "come-up" sports
just like skateboarding did and now BMX. We have already started up new companies/teams, signature
parts, and "specific only" scootering parts (EXAMPLES:SCS, ICS, Bars, Fork, etc.)

Look guys, the sport is growing pretty fast and its okay for it too. I notice how a lot of you guys say that
you don't really want for scootering to grow, but why? Its understandable that you want it to be low key but
we have already started to get some recognition, why destroy our potential that we all have created?

What if scootering blows up to be as big as skateboarding one day? We will be the first of the community
to been known to start up the sport and go down in history. Once was known as a kids toy will become a
professional sport, just like skateboarding and BMX. We don't realize how much potential we have as a
community. We already have some publicity and more and more is to come.

The whole point of this thread is to show that every sport went through a "tough" time and was slow starting up.
Skateboarding did back in the day and so did BMX. Yes there will be drama and more of that is to come as well.
Its part of a sport growing but its all for the better after all. At the end of the day, we all are riders. We need to
man up and learn to not only respect each other but to respect the sport.

For those who watched the whole video and read this whole thing, thanks means a lot and you have my respect.
Could you please not argue about things I posted (such as saying "OMG ICS is in BMX too") instead express
how you feel about the progression of the sport of scootering. Thanks agian.

Totally agree with you.
Maybe when i'm older it will be a lot more progressed and i'll say "i remember everyone that started this back when i rode"

Can't wait though for other companies to sponsor scooter riders.

I'm one of the people who just doesn't care, because I'm perfectly fine with they way it is now (and was in years past). One of the reasons I ride is to be different, and if scooter riding got as big as skateboarding is today, I don't know how much I'd be into it; at least the individuality wouldn't appeal to me as much.

I see the sport today just like skateboarding was in the past: it started off as a kid's toy, people realized you could do tricks, a freestyle industry began to develop and it slowly progressed into what it is today. I do think that our sport can become as big as bmx and skating, but whether it will is up to the riders and companies.

I agree with Jon, but I scoot to be original as Jordan said. When I'm riding and people see me do tricks on a scoot I feel good, then when a BMXer or skater does something its like...WE SAW THAT SAME TRICK ALREADY. Scoot is a small sport and it should have better publicity but not too much where it's all for competition and money. If it can go public and still be chill and mellow, so be it, otherwise keep it how it is. Because I don't want to see a pro come on here in like a year or w/e if it becomes public and a rider asks a question, then the douche bag pro will be like "You're such a noob, just quit. Learn to ride" or some other douche-baggy shit that makes me want to puke. If a pro does that, he's a dick. Point blank. So my point is, let it grow, but if it becomes a dick sport, then I will lose all interest and will just quit action sports in general.

so true. right now for me i do not mind if it gets big because later in life i can look back and say i was a scooterer when it just started

Aaron ross is just the fuckn man, plain and simple. And Tony Hamlin is not far behind Aaron in the man category.

i bet within 5 years this sport will be huge. Its growing fast and i have an example. I brought my scooter to a small park for several consecutive days and i saw that kids from the previous days had brought scooters with them instead of their skateboard or whatever they normally ride because they saw me doing it
