question....
i have rad crow bars that i got used, they seem to have a starnut inside the bars and the bars do have slits. thats for ics right?
im thinking of running threadless fork now but is ics going to work with my crows?
im going to get a proto striker fork so all i need to know is if the bars will work out.

so its going to be crows, which i dont know if theyre 1/4" bars
proto ics and striker... would it work?

yes it will work. check with a tape measure to see if they are 1 1/4" bars though. purchase your proto ics HERE. Just remember to use a little locktite on the bolt and follow the directions above.

whats the point of all this? cant you just have a threaded fork, with bars with slits, and use a clamp to put it on? (which is wht most ppl do.)

Ya but we accually break forks because they are threaded. When a forktube is threaded it looses half the wall thickness causing the fork to use half the strength. This is why we run threadless but then you can't just run bars with slits, you need a compression such as ICS, SCS, or HIC.
