if you break it before 6 months, you get a new one at wholesale price.

ive been told so many things.

"if you break one you will get a new one"-hep greg

then grant breaks his -"if you break it in 3 months you get a new v2"-matt thom

now "if you break one in 6 months you get a new v2 for retail price so like 140-160" -robert stine

im pretty sure its been 6 months so whatever

I think Thresholds are worth it, sucks to scavenge 200 bucks if you want another one, but I mean, its a solid ass deck.

yea its the best deck hands down but i have the V.1 so...........

I'm just stoked there's finally a deck wider than 4.5 that isn't gonna cost $250 **coughREVENTON AND ORIONcough*. The fact that its boxed and square dropouts makes it better.

And cut the shit with the TSI Threshold elitism. We get it. Rider owned. I really couldn't give a shit at this point. If a deck rides nice and is durable, I'll buy it. That's why I have a V2i right now. Whether you like it or not, big corporate companies are always going to exist. Until scootering hits its dark ages like skating did and only the core rider owned companies exist, a corporate company will always have more money and time to do research and produce a better product. Look at how many V2is have broken, and that was their first run (we're not counting V1 Districts here, that was something else). A whole new series of Thresholds had to be produced after the first ones started cracking and breaking in days or weeks. Ride good parts and stop bitching about how makes them.

well if it breaks in 3 months you get a full warranty, and if you do in 6 months you get one for retail price, which is the same thing that phoenix does.

But yeah its almost been 6 months for you, which is pretty decent I compared to other people that had them.

Orions are two hundo, and probably cheaper over time figuring the whole three piece deal.

And reventons are just overpriced shit.

And if I wouldn't have scavanged for a deal, I would have bought a threshold. However, the 75 dollar v2i on the skyhigh black friday was too good to pass up. It's the only non-rider-owned, non-U.S.-made thing on my scooter though.

For sure cheaper in the long run, only if Proto was better on restocking FD with the deck plates.

Yeah, if the 5" decks were even available. They apparently made like 10, seeing as nobody ever has them. When they come out with the Orion Lite, I bet you a complete with the neck and brake costs $300. Proto is a good company, for sure, but their bars and decks are way overpriced.

Yeah, I was tired of waiting for restocked deckplates online, so I went ahead and got a v2i. Apart from the hta, I'm not sure whether I like it more than my rup. The extra space is nice, though.

Doesn't mean I like it more. It's better, I admit that, but it loses is some categories to the rup.

Didnt Hep say he'd say hed sell you his v2 or some shit? I remember reading that somewhere...
something like that. id rather have a flowmaster2 if i were to have another tsi though. more reliable
i mean i love the threshold i bet the v.2's are the best/strongest deck on the market but i just cant pay another $200 on a deck that MAY be stronger
if i dont buy one of heps old decks i may buy a orion/or try out that AO epsilon if i can get hooked up with one
i think tsi should warranty all snapped v1 thresholds.

like robert said matt cant afford it.

you see how many kids on here bought thresholds.
if he warrantied every one he would be making $200 off of 2 decks

Well you kinda just contradicted yourself, by saying, "i bet the v.2's are the best/strongest deck on the market but i just cant pay another $200 on a deck that MAY be stronger." Then why drop like 300 on an Orion? I mean honestly, if I had to choose yeah, Id go with the Orion if money wasnt an issue, but if you're saying cost is an issue, id go with the Thresh v2, honestly man, this thing is great. I wouldnt bash the thresh just due to the v1.

well i have friends....some on FD...some that can get discounts
i also have multiple friends on AO. i can get a used epsilon when they get a new one

i hope everyone realizes im not hating on TSI. i just dont have the money

Robert

My point exactly. Sure, the Thresh is great, but it costs too much for what it is, especially when the next best comparable deck is less than half the price.

What you don't understand is that one is made in china, and one is made in the u.s., the production costs of the threshold are as much or more than the retail price of a v2i.
