JDs are oversized without a slit already, so you can chuck em straight into scs or cut a slit and run HIC.

Bro...they definitely don't come stock with a slit unless you request it. It wouldn't make any sense to make a slit mandatory in 2014 (almost 2015). The SCS game is strong. Why would something that is irreversible (but can still easily be created) ever be a thing? Companies want compatibility, it reaches out to more people.

You said before scs so I thought that's what you meant by it. And yes, I don't think any bars should be done with a slit
