trust me, this will be fine, if i can ride a 998 grams (not an error) addict without as much as a tiny bend after a 7ft drop, then this will be far better off.
Just because you didnt break your Addict deck doesnt mean this Ethic wont break, heaps of people broke Addicts and theres a lot of people who ride a lot harder than you and weigh more than you and a deck like this wont hold up.

everyone said the same shit about the Micro BenJ deck since the headtube looks thinner than my finger, but didnt see any of those break

i doubt he would design that and not know the physics or strength behind it, ofcourse its gonna be strong haha

Point 1. Need i say, they are not for everyone as addict themselves stated before they were released, my point is 40 kg riders break parts twice if not faster than i do, i ride razor pro wheels on anything without even cracking them and my preference is of course flat but no, tricks like 3 bri, triples 720 etc dont break anything cuz its flat! /sarcasm. as i said earlier break parts in dub and trip digits then talk to me.

2. good for them on the "harder" part, i seem to have more fun and others enjoy watching my riding without your proposed expectations on what determines good, hard etc or whatever you label it and i still get them labels but i in my modesty say, "youd be this good too if you actually ride for the fuck of riding and not to do a worldie or sponno" also you don't know me nor have or will you ever meet me, vids usually never emulate the riders "style" from my experience of meeting other riders.

3. heavier is unfortunately helpless really but scooters dont work well (read clearly, WELL) if you are over 75 kg or over 6'4", untill development is done for them which i cant im 5'8" 60 kg.

4. for you (you havent been riding for 8 years of scooter and whole youth until 14 on bmx, right?) that might be true and others who treat it like nunchucks (i do occasionally but i catch my shit) and expect for companies to actually tell the truth in their marketing rather than to sell the product like ALL businesses do regardless of the actual product you end up with (never is quite good enough is it?).

Do you just experiment with what you believe will work and learn from experience or do you have some sort of background in like engineering or materials science

mostly learnt from the early part of scooters, breaking parts etc. i built my own knowledge thanks to being good with math and as stated above

If you ride mostly flat of course you're not going to break parts as quick, but telling someone that they wont have any problems with a deck just because you wouldnt (even though your styles are probably completely different) is stupid.

I say harder as I mean they ride harder, not better. Everyone's opinion on "good" varies depending on what style of riding you prefer. When I say "harder" I mean other riders do bigger drops/gaps etc. than you.
Yes, I dont know you personally and will probably never meet you, but you dont know me either so why do you assume I ride to "get sponno or do a worldie"? Im not 12, im 20 and have been riding for over 5 years.

Dude, I ride solely for the fuck of it haha I work and I have other commitments that take priority over scooters so I ride maybe once a fortnight or so, and when I do ride its cruising or fucking around on a ledge/rail. Sponsorship would be too much of a commitment for me as I dont really have the time to put into scooters. So no, I dont ride for any other reason besides wanting to chill with the squad and fucking around on my time off.

I still dont think this deck would hold up to most people even if they arent a park park kid doing "nunchuck" tricks. It probably would hold up for me to be honest, considering I hardly ride and have only ever broken a Razor Pro deck and a pair of Phoenix Phorx (chunked a few wheels as well if that counts) in 5 years but id never ride it because I hate flimsy, flexible decks. Give me a 4 kg + scooter that feels rigid as fuck any day.

Damn
Can't really tell because of the quality of the pic, but does the deck have the old kinda extruding grind rails or is it two separated "flat bottom pieces" kinda like a tsi.

saying that flat wont do these thing isnt true, its a stress that isnt usually copped by every scooter and its does damages that you cant do anywhere else, so i have modded scooters to match the reactions and succeeded. they are more than strong enough for park use. i still go as big as i please and keep up with anyone with half the effort on this scooter in question.

it is stupid i know, to judge something that i havent seen in person but its not hard if you know what you are looking for and have preference to that style of parts (and work in research and development for a scooter company helps).

its the same concept as the addict, not hard to understand that. if you want to know what i expect of this deck, what gives the unique feel will be the back part of the neck, its gonna give a flex that wasnt in any of the dual plate necks previously. still a little confused by plunged welding which will give its "weakspot" so everything else only has to be a little stronger than that part which you can know from the lindworm deck. chain is only as strong as its weakest link, none of you seem to factor that in when its come to these assesments

all in all, this is not for hard riders that are careless, its for people who ride proper. smooth, following the path of least resistance is the goal of the proper rider and feedback from the scooter is how you know if its right. you can ride like this and still go "huge" "hard" and the ethic team shows it if you need footage.

if you read again, none of point 2 was directed solely at you, you come on to this website so you aint a scooter kid in my eyes, you are an equal.

i said that was what i get in everyday situations as i ride often and honestly, im treated like royalty by kids thanks to a stint on mgp and i have to make sure i dont talk mindlessly to them because i hope to attain a "permanent future" in scooters.

but as you ride the heavier, unbalanced in my opinion and simple, plain, boring parts as preference it affects you somewhat. its like taking a muscle car up against todays jap 4turbos, them sensitive innovations make the smaller jap hammer but fail if treated badly but the muscle car will do the same, slugisly and still make it home no matter if you mess up a little bit.

i ride lightaf scoots, this means i take the risk if i screw up that it may break the scooter if i were to throw it or have it launch if i bail. in the end youd think id lose but ill say its the complete opposite

Yeah fair enough, I used to be a flat rider and never really noticed my parts would ever break, the only trouble I ever had riding flat was wheels.
I still have my doubts about this deck but I guess we will just wait and see how it holds up.

Yeah you might think my scoot is unbalanced and heavy, but thats just my preference for scooters. I hate light, flexible decks because they feel flimsy, dont sound nice when they grind and whips arent as easy to catch. Ive been riding TSI's for nearly 2 years and before that I was riding a Reventon. I dont build my scooter for a particular style of riding, I build my scooters for reliability and comfort. As I said before, I only fuck around when I ride, I dont focus on learning new tricks, I just practice the tricks I can already do or just roll around so for me a heavy scooter that grinds well, feels solid and has good dimensions is perfect.

i can say what parts yes, pics gonna have to wait. all main parts are modded to achieve the weight.
i change between an JD addict which weighs just under 1kg and a unfair thats 1100 grams
bars: newest envy reaper 20.8w 24.5h 600grams bare
forks: mgp extreme forks, run ics weighs 200 grams bare
brake: ethic v1 on one bolt for unfair, addict on the JD or ethic v3 for 125mm wheels
wheels: razor pro wheels for flat, ethic incube 110mm for all round, weigh 420grams with bearings
and scooterhut 125mm 475 grams the pair with bearings

tilt headset, sacrifce top cap and ua scs cut into single clamp on the unfair or rads very first clamp they sold with the first runs of the bars and no top cap with the addict, was just a mtb clamp with the lip filed off.

ti axles front and rear on addict and unfair.

sometimes run pegs for flat or tricks in general; 4 ethic crmo pegs or change front to quebecs first pegs for the unfair. i only run a manbolt for back pegs when on the addict, other wise its always ti. getting plastic pegs soon tho

flavor grips cuz they are 2010 salt bmx grip re-branded and i loved them grips and foamies occasionally

unfair is as light as 2.7, 2.9 fully loaded addict is as light as 2.5 and 2.7 fully loaded
