i went to a skatepark a month ago and there was 20 kids there with razors and then i came in and they were like woah. then these boxers were like out of all these stupid kids that guy (me) is going pro. so yay

I dont really think its bringing in more riders, its just making us all look like a bunch of faggots riding toys made for little girls.
Kids fanboying people and companies, kids making their own "companies" and offering to sponsor everyone, kids not learning skatepark etiquette, kids riding purple/pink/rainbow scooter parts, kids arguing with skaters/BMXers who hate on scooter videos and companies like MGP treating their fanbase like a bunch of 6 year olds are the worst things for this sport. Making us older riders look childish and lame.
