ya, because what bearings do is allow the wheel to spin freely with as little friction as possible. so the better the bearing, the less friction between the wheel and the axle, giving the impression of being faster, but only actually rolling longer.

but you cant deny that a good bearing allows the wheel to go faster than a bad one, if only because the bad bearing slows the wheel rotation down

VertX wheels are surprisingly fast and I had them for about a month and no chunks, cracks, or flat spots! I'm shocked that they're lasting this long, oh and they're pretty damn smooth!

root industry wheels are cheep, light, heaps strong and probably the fastest ive had yet. there taking scooter wheels 2 a whole new level. buy them!!!!

The wheel means nothing without the bearing. The bearing has the biggest effect on the speed of the wheel. Shitty bearing means shitty wheels (speed wise.) Stretching past that, how hard the wheel is and how big the wheel is will only make the wheel go faster as either/both of those things go up. Therefore, they're really aren't any "fastest" wheels, just bigger and harder wheels (as any company can increase those numbers if they wish)... it doesn't matter who makes them really, it's just a matter of how long the wheel will last. And of course, when a wheel gets to be more worn down and chiseled, it gets slower. That's really it in a nutshell. No need to look for a specific brand, just those qualities if we're solely talking about speed.

its not necessarily the wheels, its the bearings, but i suppose light wheels could go faster, or heavy, i dont know :) i ride eagles and district bearings, they are quite fast, but district pop easily

the PU (hardness) of the wheels makes a difference aswell as quality.

whats going to roll faster, a baseball or a hacky sack. the baseball with because its harder. so the harder the wheel the faster and longer you can roll.

Really I don't know how anyone cares about "how fast" any particular wheel is. Man up and push harder.

lol thats not it at all wheel hardness makes you go so much faster you simply just cant go as fast on slow wheels bearings really dont matter as much as the actual urethane.

i think eagles are the fastest. but unless you wear them in and ride VERY clean then they'll probably break on you.
