High above a daffodil
I couldn't hardly reach it
Said I to me I think I will
Get it for my teacher
I climbed to reach the daffodil
Out on a limb so thin
I tumbled down like Jack and Jill
And skinned my little chin

I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox, and which you were probably saving for breakfast.

Forgive me. They were delicious; so sweet and so cold.

...the funny thing about that poem is that it isn't really a poem. it was written by a poet named william carlos...who normally writes in that style...(ie: without meter, simple language)... it was actually a real note that he wrote to his wife after eating plums out of the refrigerator...she later found it and thought it was one of his poems...and it ended up published.

it is one of my favorite poems.
(another good one is "they've put a brazier on the camel" by shel silverstien)
