Ok so i was at the skatepark to day and i was talking to some skatboarder that already told me he does not like scooters unless they do something cool so i had to whip down in to this real steep bank/hip and i was uhm no but anyway he said at FDR if your not really good at riding something or you get in somebodys way they beat you up? True? if so im scared lol i wanted to go there this winter when i go to philly the like 2 or three times i go a year.

yes, because there is just about nobody that rides a scooter here and is good at it, so i have to try to be able to earn the respect of others, and it just makes it harder when kids who are terrible pretend like they know what its all about and in turn makes me look stupid. the whole reason people automatically assume scooters are gay is because little kids fuck it up for anyone else to make it look even semi-serious.

Dom- if you cant whip into a bank, there is no need to go to FDR anyway. Just stick to the curbs and freeparks for now until you get better. Once you get better you will probally learn how to ride somewhere like FDR but for right now i would recommend you learn the basics for a while and stick to things within your range. Plus, as it has been stated, going to FDR in your state would only hurt the sport/your self esteem anyway. In time though id say go for it <3

See, i would have said the same thing Matt said. However i would have been a total dick about it. And used quite a few insults..So be happy that Matt got in here, before me.

its amazing
best park ever.
i went when i sucked
DONT DO FLYOUT
flow the park and use it for what its for.
try to get high on the vert walls and stuff
be cool dont get in peoples ways
let people go before you
The skaters made the park RESPECT THEM
its a rough place but the best 3 hours of my life were there and i cant wait to go back <3333

murphy you're fine though, because you're amazing at riding a scooter, so they get to see what its really about, not some kid who can barely tailwhip.
