its burly as hell anymore, you need to really be able to flow to ride it good. and anymore its more bmxers there than anything, i havent seen any decent skaters there in a long time, and ive never gotten hassled. i always go at night though, maybe thats why. they just added a new 13ft vert bowl that is just absurd. id definitely recommend checking it out, really fun park if youre into just flowing around. if you just want to try new tricks on a box jump, fdr isnt for you.

Like Sean said, its deffinatly a flow park. Theres one ramp to do big tricks off of and you'll end up getting nailed if your not careful (big ass box thing to the right if you walk in at the get some wall). Theres alot of rough transition here since the place is built by skaters (i think the city made like 2 ramps). Once you get used to it and pick up the lines the locals use the place is fun. Learn how to flow your local park before you go here. If your little and can't speed don't even bother going here because you'll end up getting plowed.
Try to go LATE at night, or find a day that ONLY your school has off if you wanna have a good session. Place is always packed when i go, going at 6am won't make a difference either.
edit: by the way, most of the skaters there are probably drunk or in progress of getting drunk, so don't start any fights unless you know your going to win. FDR isn't really checked out much by the police,.. you can imagine what goes on there.

ive still never even seen any skaters there to even bitch at me, so i wouldnt worry about it.
all of the bmx'ers ive ever met there have been cool as shit, though. one dude was so stoked that i was riding a scooter that he tried to get me to smoke a joint with him on top of one of the bowls, fun time.
