HIC VS SCS which ones better everyone lets have a contest to see who likes hic or who likes scs i just want to see wat r the cons and pro with the scs and hic

hic
cheap, 100% effective, very easy, same concept as scs (kinda). all around great

scs
nice looks, expensive, strong, can get easily messed up, heavy, works ok - good.

HIC: PROS: Easy to dial, its not 65 bucks, its lighter, less bulky
CONS: You need oversized bars & clamp
SCS: PROS: Looks pretty dope, makes you seem rich
CONS: Snappable/strippable bolts, harder to dial

It shouldn't, try making sure the starnuts not broken.

i ride scs just because i kno it will never break, and if u losen and tighten the bolts evenly u wont strip or break bolts. and u never have to worry about ur bars breaking at the slit

if you know how to use an scs you wont have a problem with it. and hic still has a slit. slit = weak spot. scs is by far better than hic.

Having owned both:

SCS-
No need for an oversized clamp, uses all bars, no slit to break, easy to straighten bars, if PROPERLY MAINTAINED will not fuck up.

HIC-
Cheap, slightly more annoying to straighten bars, not many bar styles to choose from (i need some HIC Y style bars damnit), breaks at slit, needs aftermarket oversized clamp to work best.

this, plus i can't be fuked getting over sized bars, and i would need a bigger shim cus i got a mgp.

Easy fight ^. ICS sucks but it is better than threaded because threads get fucked up and threadless headsets work much better on threadless forks.

so far all ive seen is people with ICS constantly trying to get it right. its gay. my threaded has stayed dialed for the bast month. no worries.
