for u not so smart people and artery is pretty much a very large vein that is the main source of blood movement through the body so the pace at which the blood is flowing u will die fairly quikly. e.g. cutting the artery in your arm will result in large blood loss and in about 12secs you will lose 6 litres of blood in other words u will have no blood left so ur dead. Also coagulate is when your blood dries and forms a scab on the wound so thats why yu dont bleed to death when you get a blood test. the reason i know this shiz is because i am hell bent on becoming a paediatric surgeon so i need to know this stuff.

not your wrist when "emo's" cut their wrists sideway it doesnt really work you need to cut from the palm to the end of your forarm but guys watch your thumbs i found out that there is an artery there that pumps enough blood if cut to lose 20L of blood a minute and you only have 6L in your body so yeh WATCH YOUR THUMBS!

I use Hep Greg style bar-ends. They sit nicely under my grips, add like 1.5 inches to my bars AND save my hands :))

idk how much of this bloodloss stuff your all talking about is true... some of it doesn't seem to make sense. i dont know much about human anatomy tho, so i could be wrong. anyone have some legit links? like medical info sites or whatever? state your sources.

i no a bmx'er that welded nickles on this bars as barends...they work pretty well...maybe ill try it on an old pair of bars...as of right now tho i use plastic Odi barends they work good.
