Final Cut Express

I got final cut express and it doesnt seem to work with my camera. It is a hard drive camera, the Panasonic SDR-H40. I have tried all of the setup formats, and most of them are for DV tapes. When i plug in my camera, it says there are no clips on it. Anyone know how to fix it?

have you tried just copying the clips from the camera on to your computers harddrive instead of using finalcuts setup stuff

well... i had the same prob with importing clips from my high def jvc hard drive camcorder to sony vegas 9 and i found out the clips are in tod files and do not show up easily. on final cut, or any macs it does not work at all. sorry to say, it's useless. but if you have a pc, and sony vegas, you can do it...

well it lets me import them to imovie and then move them over to final cut, but its just annoying so i was wondering if there was a way to import them straight to final cut

o nm then. i guess its just jvc's that record in tod files. lol
