Finding a good still picture camera.

hey, i want to get into photography because im sick of having the crappiest aiptek 8 mp camera that has like 4 second shutter speed and no manual focus ring.

im looking for a good camera with no shutter speed and a manual focus ring with a flash. something like a nikon d40 but not so much money.

any suggestions?

You need to learn some shit about photography first. If you have no shutter speed, you have no shutter haha.

I would look into getting something like this - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/518923-REG/Nikon_25580_Coolpix_P5100_Digital_Camera.html - i don't think it has a focus ring, but it has manual focus. Look around too for advance point and shoots.

i think you mean shutter delay. and if youre serious about photography then learn more about it and what you would like to shoot so you can find the camera that will meet your needs. if you just like goofing around taking pics then just get a decent point and shoot to learn on.

edit: by the sounds of it, you just want a cool camera. you didnt even mention what you like to shoot.

I want to take scooter/bike pics and maybe some like outside pics.(animals, raindrops,anything like that)

cannon rebel xti, like like 600$ but there nice
or even a nikon d40..
