After I turn 16, I'm trying to be a caddy at the local golf course, and possibly work at a day camp during the summer.

One of the top paying jobs for people under the age of eighteen including tips.

just got a job bussing tables at a really nice Italian restaurant. $5 an hour plus tips... i start monday

If it's a popular place, you're gonna hate it. Most places start you off with working every friday and saturday. It blowsssss.

PLEASE for the love of fsm do not call them back. Ive been working at mcdonalds for a year and its been terrible. Anyone thinking about mcdonalds should just not get a job, sell drugs or rob a bank. Let that place be your LAST option... after suicide.
And prepare to put all of your money into your car if you want to be a delivery boy. If people around you dont tip then you're screwed with the repair bills that comes from constant jersey road driving on an 8 dollar an hour wage.

The roads around here aren't that bad compared to most places in Jersey. I know I'll have to have money for car maintenance, but a lot of my friends deliver and none of them have as many problems as I've read about online. And that's why I haven't called McDonald's back yet haha, they called me on the 3rd.. It's now the 14th. Fuck that place. It's a last resort, though.. And I really need a job at the moment.

joe take my word for it, consider suicide before mcdonalds. but consider being homeless before suicide.
its that bad dude.

and if you have a good car i dont see why you would have a lot of problems but ive read a lot of horror stories about being a delivery boy. which sucks because id be down to drive around all day.

try shoprite. they always hire and give raises every 6 months. they make you work but you start at 9.50 which is better than 7.50 and never getting a raise or benefits, and having to work just as hard. and theres always road construction jobs in jersey for 12+ and hour for mundane shit like directing traffic and shit like that.

had a paper round.

but been working my first real job since the new year, got an appreticeship at my local bike shop, have to other branches about 40 and 50mins away aswell.

Its great.

my girlfriend works at shoprite, there's only two around me and neither are hiring.

Also, delivering pizza is number six in America's most dangerous jobs. Depending on what site you look at. But "Delivery Driver" is on pretty much every list you look at.

Hm. I've had about four friends who work at various McDonald's in the city (including mine) and they all say it's fine. They've been there for at least three months, all of them.

ya my dad and the owner of that one have been friends for a loooong time, he actually helped us drive the moving trucks from oly to here, and while he was here they talked alot about possibly opening up a shop down here, which would be like an immediate job for me.
