I just got my cactus v2's and i hooked everything up, switched the transmitter and the other thing to channel 1 and both lights light up when i press shoot and it wont flash. I took the wrapper off the battery too. Help, this fucking sucks.

Did you turn on the receiver? If you are using hot shoe method ( lol I call them that ) , make sure it fits well and all that. Don't worry , someone will help you if I didn't. Also , just move the battery around a little bit. Sometimes , although it is a new battery , the connection isn't so good so just move it around.

if you are using the hotshoe this is the only thing i could think of
mine used to not fire because i had it on a tripod pointing down and it was lifting up the hotshoe attachment on the receiver off the thing that triggers the flash
you will be much better off if you get a short pc cord and plug it into your flash more sturdier and reliable this is what i did

Make sure the batteries in your flash are good.

It takes more power for them to fire connected to slaves than on your camera..

So get some like 2500 or 2900mAh batteries (i use them) and they last so long.. you can fire for quite awhile with them.

Like when i used to have shitty batteries, they wud fire like 10/15 times then not fire, but you chuck it on the cam hotshoe and would still fire fine.

So yeah check that you are using decent batteries.. if you already are and thats not the problem, then i hate u cause i just typed all that :p
