is it legit? does it hold together nice, i'm about to buy one of someone but i just wanted to see if anyone's ridden one before and what they thought of it?

Much like most scs's to be honest. The main thing you want to think about with an scs is all of the bolts. You can be riding a proto, but with a crap compression bolt, it's not gonna be tight. But yes, the ones i have ridden have been relatively solid. Only thing is, for a bit more you could get a vertx. The vertx is going to be alot better, your choice.

scs's are prettymuch all the same, the only thing that varies in quality is the bolts. and ireplace the bolts on all the clamps i buy anyway...they are a fake apex scs. they are alright for the money.
