Not going to lie
First time ive ever been to a launch where a flip was possible yesterday... was seriously thinking about just going for a flip... i was SOOO scared... and i wanted to just try it...and i was just thinking about doing it... and it just started raining... During/after the rain i was just so un-pumped up about doing it... just thought about it too much and it got to me. There is no foam around anywhere, if i ever try it i have to just huck hard and hope. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to just go for flips... because i mean i know i can do it... and im going back there this saturday.... and i just wanna throw one. Just talking about it now has made my heart beat fast and my hands sweaty. Anyone have anything that could help me get this fear out of the way so i can just try it.

Thanks.... Alot. !heart

i've had that same thoughts too... at least you're in USA and has many parks with foam... in here, we don't have any foam in the 1200 miles radius, now think about what i'm thinking. Only some matresses would help for me... or water.

And as for Andrew, he's just nuts. I believe you don't want to end like him not remembering some weeks of your life or loosing your neck. Wait for the comp deffinetaly, after the comp, go huck it when you get your inspiration from the comp too.

Who has ever done them without foam?
I tried my first flip over a concrete spine and now I don't remember a week of my life. If you can wait for foam then wait.

wtf andrew thats nuts.y not just a box
I figured doing it over a spine would give me more airtime to rotate the flip since I had never tried them before even in foam... so I wouldn't under-rotate and slam on my face on a box... instead I still under-rotated... a lot.

A flip is just one of those tricks... before im done scootering, i want to be able to do one. I guess i could wait until december when i get a chance to ride a foam pit... but i think i could just huck it... ugh. im torn between the fear of getting hurt and the satisfaction of landing it. Its just now more complex.

i want also to make it but i only want front ;\.. im sure i wont do it without something like foam ( like madis sayd we dont have it ) but i really would like to go USA or some country ( not just for scooters, actually i was seven when i visited one country , havent visited now ).. and yea this shit is dangerous, flips looks cool but they can kill you pretty easy unless you know how rotate over ( not land to head )

eh, i disagree, i think its pretty hard to kill yourself with a flip..ive seen a bunch of people land on their heads but every single one is living and pretty much fine. i think about the worst thats every going to happen is landing DIRECTLY on your head and breaking your neck, probably paralyzing you..haha

ah you're right. i have landed pretty much to head ( not directly ) and i did get just little neck hurting about 10-30 minutes ( not with scooters, on the grass )
