when i ran foams i taped em so they wouldn't tear.

i switch between foamies and my premium bike grips whenever i feel like getting my bike grips off and on a new set of bars

mini motos foam and athletic cloth tape.

dont ever use electric tape only. unless you are trying to harden your grips in order to put some other cloth tape over them.
