Folding mech and general question

I just started scootering a week or so ago and I've barely done any real mods other than taking the W bar off and addding non slip grip tape.

My question is can someone walk me through locking the folding mech and how can I tell what model scooter I have?

Thanks alot, i'm new so be nice :]

Edit- Also I wanted to introduce myself, I've been skating for a few years now and it got kinda stale so i looked for a new sport and I tried out scooters and got addicted.

I can barely tail-wip and stuff but I really have no clue how to do anything so i'm just trying to invent new(new to me atleast) tricks, so anyother ideas on how to become better would be killer.

Edit #2- Also a week ago I fell pretty hard and now i've been scared to do anything bid, any way I could fix my self lol?

If you have a new A it will be a little harder to lock it. basicly all you do is take out all the stuff used to fold it. take the little foldy bar out. thats the thing that goes up and down when you fold it. then put a great big bolt through it and a nut on the other end. then tighten it real tite so the handle bars don't move because of the friction.

It works a lot better on old As or pro models because there is and extra cut out in the little archy thing you can put a second bolt through.

a few months ago I got a new A and now the deck has 2 cracks under the folding mech.

I'm pretty new to this stuff also. I got my first scooter like 3 years ago. but I didn't know that scooter flips and double whips existed until a month ago.

^wtf dude? didnt know doubles existed?seriously? like saying oooh look a 360 too bad its COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to spin more. hahahahaha nahnah im just playin witcha. i just saw a bikeflip on tv and was like 'a dank i gotta do that', cept i still cant.
