Most people screw up cutting by going too fast- be patient and let the saw do the work. I keep an old Razor Clamp as a cutting guide or
wrap tape around the bar so you have a visual guide to follow.
Start the cut and then once you get the cut going put a drop of oil in there so the blade slides easier.
Again-
GO SLOWLY
A hacksaw only Cuts on the Forward stroke so lift a little when drawing back.
Use both hands BUT the forward hand is only used as a Guide- don't apply pressure.
ideally you want the
bars in a Vise but if you don't have one make sure you have the Bars pressed up against something and hold them firm and just let the saw do the work. A Fresh blade will cut through bars quite easily.
