Fork building help!

So me and a couple friends are going to make 4130 chromoly forks there going to be sick! only thing is What do you use for a base plate on the bottem of the steering tube? I dont know if you can buy Chromoly Plate to cut into the shape or what any ideas ???

cold roled 4130.
plateing
.125 12x12 for bottom
.25 12x12 for top.

dont say anything about how there coming. just make them and post pictures.

were the alxe is is bottom. and the top plate is top. like where the fork tube meets the fork. the race crown are.
