fork tube dimensions

what is the fork tube dimensions for an sr fork
i know its 1 1/4 but what is the wall size and stuff
i am not making my own forks
i am just repairing my sr forks

no!! its no 1 1/4...

its 1 1/8 od and try to find it with 0.25 wall =]

The length is about 6 inches too.

the length is 7 1/2 i make forks and bars... the OD of the fork tube is 1 1/8.... get and adj. wrench that will fit that clamp it on and slide it of and measure it... it is 1 1/8 or 1.125... and the wall is .25 or 1/4... it will be alittle heavy but if you use 4130 cromo i will be a little bit lighter... and alloy [cromo] is weldable to mild steel, which is the material SR forks are made out of.... so yeah there u go

and if the fork tube were 1" why would the head sets be 1 1/8 then... ??? cause the fork tube is 1 1/8

yeah i make my bars with 1 1/8 ID and they fit on forks fine.

i did that with 4130 chromoly and it didnt work will, i i use 1.18 now
