French Id V1 SCS Problem

So i have the SCS all the way down on the steer tube, and i have the starnut in correctly and in at the right depth, i cranked the bolt down, and after i do a gap or stair set it would get loose, i heard somebody saying that it might have to do with the steer tube that it might be to long or wut ever, and the French Id riders had the same problem but they got it fixed and i need to know wut they did to it

BTW...I do no have my compression ring that come with headset if that haz any thing with it getting loose

use a compression ring too

I looked already....and does the compression ring have to do alot with it, and can i just get one at the bike shop

its got alot to do with it and i dont know if u can buy them on there own but id imagine so

ight, maby and also when i crank the bolt down it is very hard to spin the bars, its so hard at time that it is like puting bars on a sk8 board and i am guessing that haz to do with the compression ring

yes get the compression ring first but a trick i foud with my scs when you put it on the fork adjust it to the point where there is just a tad bit of wabble that you can barley even feel then tighten the clamp on the fork not to much though just enough for it to hold the fork tight enough so it wont come loose than put the bolt in the scs that you screw into the starnut and tighten it up real tight (if you did this right your clamp should not of moved on the fork) than put your bars on and tighten everything down real good and you should be set

first, he wasnt talking about fid bars, he was talking about the fid fork.
second, you dont just go and buy a compression ring, it comes with headsets
