This lense is for sure not bad at all, one of the better ones i have shot with other than the paerature but a good price for it, Canon all the way though i hopped off the nikon boat a long time ago

canon is only better for video. nikons surpass them with picture quality, in my opinion, and definitely lens quality. nikkor>cannon any day.

Non-constant aperture doesn't really matter for landscape photography because generally your going to be using apertures as small or smaller than f/11.
