fsa impact headset stuck inside phoenix 4.0

hi so i have a phoenix 4.0 integrated deck, i put in an fsa impact headset...
it wouldn't go in smoothly without force, so i put a wood block over and hammered them in by force. it didn't damage the headset or anything, the headset is fine, but i think i need to use it for a different deck now, how do i get the headset out without damaging it? like i said, i forced it in there so its pretty much stuck.

i was thinking flathead and a hammer, but i don't want to damage the bearings, the headset is pretty much brand new, i dont want to waste 30 bucks.

any ideas on how to get it out safely?

I have used a flathead for that kind of problem many times and it has had no affect on my headsets. But if you want to be safe put some rubber or something on the top of the flathead.
