I have a FSA Pig headset which annoys the me alot. Recently , It could not spin properly and the compression ring was stuck and that caused everything to be stuck. I ignored it because theres nothing I can do about it. I rode like normal and I think after some shock , the thing decided to loosen up. My headset could spin well again . I decided to open it up to see what caused the stuck problem last time and headset which could not spin. I thought that it could be the bottom cage broke because I have heard too many complaints about the bottom cage.
Anyway , I opened everything and had the bottom cage in my hands when some balls started to DROP out. They were not even tight in the cage. It was like they just sat there. Nothing was holding it down. I run ceramic balls in my headset and they are not the material your plates and bowls at home are made of. It is stronger and smoother than metal balls which mean there is not way anything could have gotten sanded down due to friction. I tried my old FSA balls and they dropped too.
Anyone had this problem? How can I solve it?
Thanks.
