so true especially people that are complete bri whores and they dont even make the scooter flip enough like it just goes to their side and than they land on it cause if you bri i think the deck has to at least go over your head for it to count... and and some no comply tricks can be cool like the one matt pate did in RVM3 i still do it sometimes haha its still a fun trick

Why don't you guys like bartwists? I think they are pretty fun, and kinda hard with 20" wide...

what is wrong with bartwists? That many people do them? That doesn't make sense. They have a way smaller group of people than tail whips, 360s, and barpins. Also a way smaller crowd than briflips. Then you argue that whips and barspins and all that are basics. So, whats wrong with a trick that's a little bit harder? I'm not going to discriminate against any tricks unless the trick is stupid or done sketchy AND the person brags about it or feels the need to impress people with their awesome skills. All the time..."dewd, cann u bry?" ..."I don't do them." "0h becuz u kent?!" "no, because ------s like you don't make we want to do them. I choose not to, because everyone does them thinking they are the best trick under the sun, when really they are just easy"...."n0 u just sayin dat cuz u kent do em!1!!!1"

Barspins are considered legit by many, but are easier to do. Far more people do dub whips than briflips... so are double whips dumb?
Personally, I think people have hopped onto a freight train saying only certain tricks are cool, cuz the cool guys are saying that. I respect what Grant is saying though, makes more sense.

I also said it's because they look stupid, it's like grizzly airs.. they were cool when people first did them and new combos were impressive. Then people realize one day "hey! grizzly airs are actually ugly as hell.. why do we do them?" how often do you ever see grizzlys now.. and yea, I agree people do more barspins and whips than other tricks in videos, but those are okay looking tricks, and the most basic ones out there. I see bartwists as a kind of fool around trick, kind of like heelflips, where it's a weird trick people can do but it's not really a trick I'd expect people to actually want to progress with.
edit: even better example, x-factor.. sure it's like a tuck-no hander variation, so why wouldn't it be cool to do? but the only time people do x-factors is fooling around, and that's exactly the category of tricks I put bartwists into
