I can't get the bottom race on the fork and it's a pro model fork. I have looked on the site and tried all of the advise. It's the race for a Diatech D-Cup headset. It's the only thing that i have left to do and everything will work.

I NEED HELP!!!

i have this problem all the time, look at the threads and see if there chips and if they are take a something and try to clean it up a little then take the bottum race and make sure its going staight on and screw that mofo in.

Take a hammer and gently tap from every angle to get it on the fork.

Another possibility is, that if you have an extra headtube/neck left, that has no cups in it, then use it to pound the race on the fork, because with the headtube it'll pound the race on all angles at one time.

do this put the race on the fork then take the old race put it upside down on the new race and hit every angle of the old race and the new race will go on perfect

take a hammer and a piece of wood and hammer it equally in. and make sure it was a 1 1/8" headset.

What you'll need:
1. Fork to be "raced"
2. Length of pvc longer then the fork tube and a little smaller diamater then the race (mines about 4 feet long)
3. Fork race (obviously)
4. Some muscles

Step 1: Place race upon fork tube like so, along with pvc. In that order.

Step 2: Stand fork/race/pvc up so legs of fork on on the ground.

Step 3: Slam pvc down onto fork to force the race over the lip of the fork "crown".

Step 4: Repeat step 3 untill race is completly flat agains fork legs.

And Wahlah. A fork with race ready to be put on your scooter and ridden.
