Good Amatuer/Beginner SLR Camera?

Yeah, so I'm starting to get into more serious photography and I wanna get a nice SLR or something like that camera, I was thinking a Nikon D40?

So yeah, just say whats good,

I also want to get a fisheye, so just say which brand

So yeah, list good lense like, I want to get a:

Fisheye
Wide Angle

and were I live a D40 is around $800 so yeah, tell me the overall price for all the lenses, I'll probally get the camera first with the stock lense, then buy fisheyes and other lenses.

So yeah, just say whats good.

And try to order off amazon, d40 for 800 is insane. Fisheyes/wide angle lenses a very expensive btw.

From what i've heard, Canon Rebel xtis aren't bad for a start.

Nikon d40.

Have a look at those 3, maybe go to a shop and ask to look at one, see which you like, then look at price.
Never look at price before holding the camera, it could seem good and cheap, but you could hate it.

$550 aus, YEE COO, yeah, thats online, it'l probably be the same in store, and they're also selling a bag and tripod for $50 together, so yeah I reckon I'l get it from Teds Cameras.

honestly d40s for me are the least user friendly camera I have no idea how to work them
get a canon rebel xti they are so nice

If you have the extra cash get the D40x, i love mine, you get that slight bit more responsiveness in darker situations(In comparison to my friend's cams)... Lens-wize, start with the basic lens then get more when you find a need for a different style, theres no point in styling your shot around the lens you have, it's better to choose the lens around the shot.
