I don't understand why you guys want something CHEAP but HIGH QUALITY, if you sacrifice money you sacrifice quality. Just find the cheapest mini DV camera you can and get it if you don't want to spend any money. If you want something better, search.

The cheapest mini dv camera you are going to get is going to have 720x480 picture, the same as any other DV camera, when you spend more money you open up more manual control options and better colors.
