Woke up this morning , rolled over, layed there, looked at all my scooters, seen my micro deck and started thinking... such an awesome deck, but such a shit folding mech. Then i thought wow, you could probably weld a pro foldign mech onto the bullet deck. like.. why am i the only person to think of this?

i cant really see any problems with the idea. you guys think i should do it?

yeah, might get it done tomorrow, depends if i can find a hacksaw somewhere in my shed. if not probably the day after.

thats if the metals can be welded together, and im pretty sure they can be.

Well, ill have a hacksaw to get off the foldign mech tomorrow night, so im hoping to have it done on say.. wednesday or thursday. ill put up pics when its done tho.

Sounds pointless, there will be be a gap in the deck between the folding plates when you remove the micro folding mech, so I don't think that it would be strong. A Bullet would be awesome for a custom headtube which could be bolted to the deck exactly the same way as the folding mech, so you might try that.

Edit: as Ive checked the pics now, looks like the vertical rails of the deck would be set up directly under the razor mech if you weld it, so it might not be as bad as I thought but still, I don't know the dimensions so you might not be able to weld it all the way around. But even if you manage to to it, it won't be any better that an old A.

Im sure that a deck with a mech tightened around with screws is stronger than a deck with a gap in the middle. But after all, I haven't seen that deck personally so I might not be right.

The foldy isn't directly connected to the deck, it's only on the sides. So if that deck will ever bend, then it will do with the micro foldy, and same without it, because in both cases it could snap/bend behind the foldy gap. If that foldy would be connected to the deck like from front to back way (not only from left to right), THEN it may make some diffirence in the strength of the deck.

if you put a pro foldy on there and weld the shit out of it and reinforce it yadda yadda or same with the stock folding mech it should really make no difference to what it does the the deck... but in my opinion the deck is fackin strong as it is.
