Brian's idea is actually pretty good, it will only make the front fork to be lower only half an inch, but i just got back from measuring some stuff and B/pro necks are 35mm wide and micro foldys are 31mm. Unless you would grind down 2mm from both sides of the razor neck (which will make it weaker also), then it doesn't fit.

edit.
It might work if you would only grind down the part where the razor neck goes between the gap, rest of the neck can be untouched, just weld it and it could be pretty strong. Just for reminding, there could be some problems installing those reinforcements because they need the two front bolts of the foldy.

I dont have 2 pairs of folding plates. I could probably get another pair.

Welding the neck into the place where the foldign mech used to be is an alright idea. dont know how strong it would be though.
And when I get the pro model mech welded on, i could just get some metal welded in there to fill it up where the old micro folding mech was..

sounds like it could happen, it would be pretty gnar. but yeah just welding the poop out of it would probably be better.

Didn't Madis weld his foldy? And the headtube got a warped? So I think you might as well weld the B foldy if you're going to weld anything.

Yea. Usually the weak point of the head/foldy area was the foldy itself, that's why ppl used to snap their foldys at front, and the little stainless steel thingy held it together. Cheap stuff. Other weak points were the little 6mm-diameter bolts which connected the foldy, deck and reinforcements, they didn't hold foldy enough solid and foldy was moving. Eric suggested to drill foldy's rear hole to 8mm (like other bolts on the usual bolted foldy) but i wasn't keen on the idea to make the holes bigger and therefor to make it weaker. Plus, it took like 3 weeks to move the bars back at the headtube to plates area and plates area to foldy connections. After welding it all, while those welds between the plates and foldy in front also reinforced the foldy from snapping at the common point, i appearantly found another weak point and it's the headtube itself which ovalized. Cheap aluminium.

hence why im welding the razor folding mech onto the micro deck.. probably be done tomorrow, depends how busy dad is at work. :D

Thing is if you re enfoce a razor deck and all that (look at Matt Dibble man, hes had his deck for ages) and a re enforced micro deck which would cost more (help me out I don't know the exact amount) would it be worth it? Seriously I couldn't imagine snapping 4 pro models in the time it would take to break ONE micro which would cost the same...

But yeah lets not have a Razor vs. Micro thread here, Jakes idea is gnarcore so lets all stay on topic and give him props for being so cool and all.

dub post but hey, ohwell.

heres the gooder photos. Still got to go get some more bolts/nuts and somehow get something to fit snug in the axle so the wheel doesnt rattle. New bar's, forks, wheels, headset, bearings, grips and barends coming very soon. I think the project turned out pretty good, decks heavier than the normal razor pro, but its not that much heavier. Ill hopefully get to ride it maybe tomorrow night, depends on the axle situation! Enjoy.
