just see what tricks the guy's that are entering the same comp are doing.. see if you're at the same level or better than them

only problem is that i probably will be below them by far cause i can do barely no tricks at all.
Also how you know when comps are coming up just asking quick question.

If you don't know of any comps and can't just ride your normal game in them you're not ready yet. Just play scoot - you will gradually improve, and you never really feel you are out of the beginner section, but when you win 3 then try the intermediate. If this is too hard, go back and win some more. Then when you can watch a comp and do most of the tricks, then start entering. Just get involved with the whole scene in your area, and you will find out about events. Or just create your own!

If you can barely do any tricks at all, don't really think you should be thinking about comps at all. Sorry :/

i agree, you just need to work on getting yourself better for YOU, not to enter comps, i think comps arent worht it unless youve got a good shot at placing. it seems like itll be a great experience, but it would be more benificial to just ride for yourself, progress, and get your tricks dialed and THEN start entering comps and working towards the higher levels of riding

This ^. Ride for fun. Not for comps and other people and because other people are doing it.

well tricks a begginer should have down with no error would be Tail whips, 360s, bars, 180s w/ the ability to get out of them, and probably 180 whips over coping, thats what My tricks were when I first started.. next learn truck drivers, and progress after that..
