Grip Tape Stencils

the_SD_local

I own SR.
I was going to make SR stencils awhile back for people to print but never got around to it. I guess I'll do it sometime, although, making your own is as simple as drawing or printing what you want on a piece of paper and cutting it out.

Stencils are not complicated.

When applying the stencil (with spray paint I assume) make sure you mask off everything you don't want to get colored and another thing that helps to get a cleaner image is using spray adhesive on the back of the stencil so it sticks to the griptape. If it is stuck to the grip tape paint can't float underneath the stencil and give that "cloudy" look around the edges.

Stencils are really easy too make, Theres a few tutorials on this website i know of call stencil revolution. There Tutorials include like how to make a stencil from a coloured photo. but i think you need Photoshop to do it. It also shows you how to cut stencils and stuf but yeah
Thought yas might want too have a look at it.
anyway the links is http://www.stencilrevolution.com/tutorials/

You could also use a cool sticker or something and put it on top of the griptape. Then cut the griptape around the sticker and take that off and put the sticker on. Looks pretty cool, and it doesnt take as long as making a stencil.

i ust to make circa shoe stencils for my grip. then i would take a raor kit and cut out the colored area so u see the shinny aluminum deck instead of colored grip tape:)
