What's the difference? Which is better for parks/streets, lasts longer?

also how are phoenix wheels?

sliders are hard wheels, grippers are softer. personally i like sliders for street and park. like the name says they are amazing for power slides and they last forever.

grippers
pros: they are grippy, they wont slide from under you, feel nice and soft to ride
cons: the dehub fairly easily, sometimes even doughnut

sliders
pros: nice and slidy for powerslides and grinds, last a long time
cons: chunk pretty fast, and they slide out from under you alot

i got sliders and i regret the purchase, get vert x wheels, heard nothing but good about those wheels

edit: grippers are traditionaly for park, and sliders for street, but these are not any definent walls, like dylan kasson runs grippers and hes all street

Grippers dehub, sketchy or not. Phoenixes feel like a flat tire. Sliders are the BEST wheels ever. I have 1 chunk the size of an ear piercing after 7 months, and I ride friggen drops and sets. Never slip out on me, and nothings really wrong with them, but apparently I'm clean. I think mine are starting to dehub, but I'm getting another pair, definetly get these. They're still really grippy when you need them to be, slide when you want them to.

Gotcha! Thanks. I'll get a pair of Sliders next time. I currently have grippers right now and they seem fine riding on pretty rough ground.. haha

I run Sliders for street and concrete skateparks... and only run Grippers at indoor (wood) parks.
I hate the way grippers feel on concrete and asphalt...too soft, squishy and quiet.
Love Sliders
.

every time i ride street and come across a super duper rough area i try to save my wheels and not ride there....for sliders i wouldnt have to worry about that right?
