so i bought some oil based paint markers and i went to do this checkerboard pattern on the griptape but by the time i was done the entire tip part was completely worn off the marker does this ever happen to any of you

Im working on a sort of portfolio so people can see some of my stuff and pick whatever they want i have already made it before.
