buy a sheet, cut it into four pieces(each a little bit bigger than the size of a deck) stick it on working from 1 side. make sure you press to get the bubbles out and prevent them from starting. The take a file and rub on the edge of the deck. (you will be taking off the sand on the grip making it easy to cut and making a good edge. Take a razor and cut along the edge. if you dont understand this, this may help. http://www.switchmagazine.com/skateboarding_tips/index_board.html
same process just with a scooter. and they use a screw driver instead of a file.

skateboard griptape is about 5 times bigger then a scooter deck so no matter what you need to cut it. now if you ever had experience fitting griptape to a skateboard then it should be common sense on how to install grip to your scooter. but if you havent then you will need to measure up about how much its gonna take to cover your deck and you will want to cut with scissors a rectangle that is big enough to cover your deck but a little bit bigger so that you have some extra grip hanging off. next you'll want to peel of the sticker part of the grip and apply it to your deck making sure it is nice and smooth and there are No air bubbles. Now you want to take a screwdriver of some sort doesnt matter what kind, and scrape it along the edges of the deck creating a white line in the grip that represents were the exact edges of the deck are. Now you take a razor blade and cut off the edges following the white line you just made so its nice and flush with the deck. and there you go you just gripped your scooter deck.
