Grrr!! Brake Problem...

ok... ive got a razor B/ JDbug, and ive taken the brake off to clean the springs as they were full of grit and really squeaky...
so after i'd clean it and lubed it. its time to put it back on

but i cant.... once i slip the spring on the bolt never goes into the second hole.... as the spring is a tight fit... (between deck and brake) its hard to explain but basically is there a technique i can use..

i feel like such a N00b asking this..

A lot of the time it is a tight fit, just try and use something to push the bolt so it's aligned with the hole then use a rubber mallet and tap it in there.

naaa the spring is facing so both of the lips of the spring is in contact with either the brake or the deck... but because the spring isnt a perfect fit (smaller than angle between deck and brake or whatever) its really tight... ill get a picture... would it be easier if i removed the back wheel? so more space to hammer it in... although i dont want to bend the bolt...

Yeah that would help, sometimes it helps if you push the brake down or move it around. There's not really a specific technique, you just have to work it in there. I know, don't be dumb.

I got myself banned.
You gotta get buck wild on the bolt dude. Putting brakes back on is the worst. This is gonna sound crazy but i put the bolt in as much as i can, than jam a wrench between the deck and bolt and like pry down on the wrench so the bolt moves up and than start smacking the bolt in with a hammer. It works alot better with 2 people

(fine with no spring....)

it doesnt line up..... (i know the brake isnt at the perfect angle when i took the picture but it doesnt make a difference like this or not)

anyone know if a micro bullet brake would fit?

how come the pictures arnt coming up??
i clicked on rename, and copy and pasted the name between the [/img] thing with no spaces

i took my brake off last night and i was having the same problem, all you really have to do is press down on the spring really hard so you cant push it down anymore and then just hit the bolt in....

WOOOO done it.... and ive got a good technique.... rekon i should make a video on it? would a micro bullet brake fit?

yeh they do fit but bullet brakes snap easy where the square grip is and hole where the bolt goes through, the best brakes ar old a brakes

press the brake inward and make sure the bolt lines up.. than have someone tap it through for you while you hold it in place.
