Guess that lyric song

I have never seen a thread on this before and the game is someone must guess what lyric the song is from it should be a memorable line or a part of the chorus. Try and use two lines from the song and you have to post the genre. If no one guesses it after a while then the band will be given after a day and then you will guess the song.

Lookin twoards the futurewe were beggin for the pastwellwe never had the goodthings but they never seemed to last.
This song is by a newer rock band.
You have to answer my lyrics before posting your own
If this game doesnt work then sue me but what ever its challenging

i don't know what the lyric you posted is, but that's not important. what's important is that wonderwall is an oasis song, NOT cartel song. oasis is a really good band, where as cartel is a shitty pop band that have become the biggest sell outs in the history of music with their shameless band in a bubble and appearing on an abc family show. every member of that band should be shot, and the fact that they covered an oasis song disgusts me.
