I like my bars at the height of about the bottom of my pocket. 21 actually. I think it's about right if you stand on the deck and let you arms and fingers hang, and stant straight up while you're finger tips are loose on the bars, if you can stand fully up and have like half the grip its good. Width is pretty much whatever as long as its no wider than tall and not skinnier than 15 or so if you're doing bars, because they dont count then.

So true about the height...that's how I ride...while standing fully on the deck the grips are on half of my fingers...
About the width, well, I've seen people smaller than 15 (14.5) what the hell...riding atm 18" going for 20 or even 21" with the next order...
Width is all about preferance, and I prefer more control while riding vert (and doing tricks in general) over easyer barspins anytime...

Why not start with 18" or wider even? that way you can cut them down and actually try different widths without having to buy new ones each time.

And anyone over 5 foot tall should probably be riding no less than 18" wide anyways IMO.

If your bar width is more than your bar hight then somthing is wrong lol.
stan is almost there wen he won sotm in december i think they were 22x22

I started like how every kid started back in the day. Which was bone stock 14" wide on most all Razor Models (A,B). Now when RAD came out with Solid Bars, I got 15" wide and 19" tall. It was great. Just a little wider. Then when I got Buff Bars for the first time I went up to 16" and I road that in aussy at the x games.
From there I went up to 18" and hated the jump so I cut them down to 17" and road that for about another year. As soon as I was done with 17" wide I then jumped up to 25.5" wide with back sweep, up sweep and a 1/2" rise. Kinda redic. (down hill bars)

This all of course is width, Not hight. When I had to ride stock bars back in the day, there were only adjustable bars like how they are today so I never had a set bar hight. But right between the knees and hips is good for your center of gravity. For me by bars were around 19" to 20" tall.

I ride 21" wide and 20" tall right now. But that changes every year or so. I'm 5'4 by the way.
