Nate are you talking about having energy and feeling when you play? Because those are two very important things for a live show. I have been to shows and seen bands where the person with the most energy is the drummer! Which is sad because he cannot run around and whatnot. But I have also seen bands where the guitarist moves with the rythm and he gets into it and doesn't care. Even acoustic artists do it. They just sit on their stool and jam out and it is still entertaining to watch.

that's the only way. I used to have a mexican strat when I started it (it's my brother's now), and it's NOWHERE near as good. But hey, I got it for like an eighth of the price haha
Right now though I'm rocking a blue gibson xplorer with mini humbuckers, got it used for 600 bones. Might sell the pickups in exchange for some EMG's though because I play a lot of metal these days, but i dunno how well that would work.
truth. I can play guitar so much better when Ive had a few drinks, come up with so many good riffs that way. Playing guitar baked is really hard though.seankane said:i've got an epiphone les paul special II and a shittyshitty marlboro acoustic. i'm really not good at guitar, though, so i don't care to much.
i just love sitting around trying to find a combination of sounds that isn't terrible. i don't really learn many songs, which is probably why i'll never be good at guitar, but theres nothing more relaxing than drinking a beer and making up your own riff.
