Half Pipe paint

my dad just built me and my sister a halfpipe for christmas
he put water seal on it so now its really slippery.
its soo slippery that you fall if you land slightly sideways.
We are going to put paint on it what kind of paint do you recomend?
i think flat paint would be more grippy.

What kind of paint is easy to boardslide on? The local park, not skatepark, has paint on some sement and its so smoot to grind on I just want to buy more of that ppain and paint the other spots around there..

you should've had your dad cover your ramp in masonite or if you really had the cash, skatelite would be the perfect solution.

i recommend blue or green.....it looks pretty gross but hardly any glare comes off it...

thanks BK im think im gonna get flat green to match my trees thats what my mom said
we have homeowners association around here so we have to keep the pipe on the dl
i wanted to paint it neon yellow just for fun

I really don't reccomend water seal, seeing as you already did, I'm not sure what to tell you there. I did not cover my halfpipe with paint (I should, and might later on) or water seal.

Either use Marine paint or SPAR Urethayne. Both of those resist weather pretty well and have a nice ride to them. I used SPAR on my ramp.

I don't think you will have much luck painting your ramp though if it is already sealed... nothing will stick to it. You will either have to replace the top layer or put another layer over it... I did that before too it sucks.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help, from what i've seen water seal just messes up the entire ramp.

However, if you feel it gets too bad, even with paint it might stay slippery, you can get some skatelight material, or just another layer of wood in general and just put it over the top.
